Bliss: "Static Ring"

Bliss: "Static Ring"

A few months ago, my friend Noah asked me if I’d be interested in directing a music video for the new Bliss single, “Static Ring”. I told him I’d be more than happy, just bring me a concept. After spending two months workshopping the style and shots that you see in the end product, the entire video was shot in one day from 5am-3pm (with a half-day of pickup haha).

Working with Noah, Cooper (not me, from Bliss) and Ethan on this was an incredible experience and I can’t wait to see what Bliss does next. I’m super grateful for these guys.

Shooting with everyone cast in this video was amazing, Abby, Mika, Abe, Cash, Dakota, Patrick G., Joe, Christian, Lennon, and Patrick V… thank you all for your time.

I chose to shoot this on tape, specifically in HDV to give it that late-2000s indie feel. After transfers were made from the tape master, it was edited on Final Cut 7 and finished in Resolve.

All of the local businesses featured in the video as locations deserve all the love, support, and appreciation too. Flora Bodega, Guestroom Records, Southern Fried Vintage, and Dog Daze 🫶.

Last but absolutely never least, my homie Nick Thomas took these incredible photos of the production + the band’s new imagery for the single.
